
NOB-Kasibugga news: The government has provided compensation to the families of those who died in the stampede incident at the temple in Kasibugga, Srikakulam district. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu and State Minister Atchannaidu provided compensation of Rs. 15 lakh each. Later, Atchannaidu said that the stampede incident has deeply disturbed him. He said that he will stand by the families of the deceased and that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring. It is known that nine people died and 25 were seriously injured in the stampede that took place at the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Kasibugga on 01.11.2025. Eight women and a boy were among the dead. The temple was crowded since morning as devotees flocked to have darshan of the lord on the occasion of Karthika Ekadashi. As all the devotees entered the temple at once, a devotees broke out at 11.45 am which led to the stampede.
