
NOB-Mahabubabad news: AEO was caught red-handed by ACB while accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 for granting farmer insurance to a deceased farmer from the government. The incident took place on 06.11.2025 at the Maripeda Municipal Center in Mahabubabad district. According to Warangal ACB DSP Sambayya, a farmer named Bikku from Anepuram village in Maripeda mandal died on October 14th 2025. With this, the farmer’s son, who was the nominee, applied for farmer insurance at the Maripeda Agriculture Office on the 30th of October 2025 with all the certificates. In this context, Anepuram Cluster AEO Gadipelli Sandeep said that he demanded that the certificates be made online only if he was paid Rs. 20,000. The applicant, who did not want to pay the officer and get the job done, directly approached the ACB officers in Warangal and caught the officer red handed. The DSP revealed that he was caught taking Rs. 10,000 from applicants opposite JJ Bar and Restaurant in Maripeda mandal center on 06.11.2025. DSP Sambaiah said that the culprit will be produced in the Warangal ACB court on 07.11.2025 morning and remanded. Inspectors L Raju, Shekhar and ACB staff participated in these raids along with him. Meanwhile, ACB officials also conducted searches in the houses of the culprit’s relatives in Maripeda.
