Despite numerous warnings issued by ACB officials urging the public not to encourage bribery and despite their efforts to curb corrupt officials instances of corruption continue to surface in one place or another. Officials holding positions of responsibility, who are duty-bound to serve the public, often lose sight of this obligation; instead, they extort bribes and are subsequently caught red-handed. In the latest incident, an RDO was apprehended by ACB officials while accepting a bribe. ACB officials conducted raids on the RDO office in Narayanpet. They caught RDO RamchandraNaik red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs.25,000 from an individual. The ACB raids at the RDO office are currently ongoing. RamchandraNaik is scheduled to retire in October of 2026. A senior ACB official urged the public to call the ACB toll-free number (1064) or lodge a complaint via the WhatsApp number (9440446106) if any government employee demands a bribe in violation of service rules.
