NOB-Nizamabad news: Reliable sources have informed that the police have arrested Riyaz, a former criminal who brutally murdered Nizamabad CCS constable Pramod, which created a sensation across the state. In this case, the state DGP and DIG have instructed the district CP to solve the case quickly, and it is known that 9 teams were formed and the accused Riyaz was arrested in different areas on 19.10.2025.  Riyaz, who is an accused in several theft cases, was arrested on 17.10.2025 and was being taken to the police station for questioning. While constable Pramod was being taken to the police station for questioning, the accused Riyaz attacked him with a knife. He stabbed Constable Pramod in the chest and fled. Pramod, who was seriously injured, died after his condition deteriorated. Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police, which took the incident seriously, launched a thorough investigation. The DGP also took the incident seriously. The IG was specially deployed. Later, an intensive search operation was launched for the accused. The police received initial information that the accused Riyaz was in the area of ​​​​the sixth police station of Nizamabad. As a result, the police conducted extensive checks in several areas of the sixth police station on 18.10.2025 night. The bike used by the accused Riyaz was found near the local canal. This means that the police suspected that the accused might have jumped into the water in the canal and fled. With this, they searched for the accused with the help of a drone. However, his whereabouts were not found. It is reported that the police finally caught the accused on the outskirts of Sarangpur on 19.10.12025 morning.
