NOB-Kasibugga news: Three accused persons involved in an attempted murder related to a dispute over the two-wheeler parking contract at Palasa Railway Station, within the Palasa-Kasibugga Municipality limits, have been arrested by the Kasibugga police, said Kasibugga DSP Sheikh Shahabaz Ahmed at a press conference held at the Kasibugga police station on 11.01.2026 evening.

The arrested accused are:

A-1 Meesala Suresh, son of Narsingarao, age 50 years, Padmanabhapuram village, Palasa-Kasibugga Municipality.

A-2 Meesala Chinnarao, son of (late) Kalliyadu, age 60 years, Padmanabhapuram village.

A-3 Meesala Mohanarao, son of (late) Kalliyadu, age 69 years, Padmanabhapuram village. Accused with arrest pending:

A-4 Munna @ Sudeep

Items seized:

One firearm (country-made pistol), 04 rounds, 03 knives, 02 sticks, One TVS Jupiter scooter (No. AP39 DP 4937), 03 smartphones.

A-1 to A-3 are from the same family, residents of Padmanabhapuram village in Palasa-Kasibugga Municipality. A-2 and A-3 are uncles of A-1, while A-4 is A-1’s brother-in-law. A-1 had been managing the railway running room maintenance and two-wheeler parking contracts at Palasa Railway Station for the past 13 years. As they did not secure these two contracts in the tenders held in December 2025, they had to hand over the two-wheeler parking shed to the new tender winners on the night of 09-01-2026. In this context, while the complainant and his associates, who had won the new tender, were cleaning the parking shed, A-1 to A-4, with the intention of obtaining a sub-contract, attacked the complainant and his associates with the intention of killing them. During this attack, A-2 attempted to fire a gun, while A-3 attacked the complainant’s friend with a knife. A-1 and A-4 attacked with knives and sticks. The complainant filed a complaint at the Kasibugga Police Station on 11-01-2026, following which the police registered a case and launched an investigation.  They arrested A-1, A-2, and A-3 near Kosangipuram Junction at 4:30 PM on 11.01.2026. A-4, who is absconding, is yet to be arrested. Kasibugga DSP Sheikh Shahabaz Ahmed stated that the investigation into this case is ongoing.
