NOB- AHMEDABAD NEWS: Cyclone Biparjoy is looming. Cyclone Biparjoy, which has become the most severe, will cross the coast after 04:00 P.M on 15.06.2023 evening.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that Jakhau will cross the central coast of Mandvi-Pak near Kutch. It has warned that gusty winds will blow at a speed of 150 km per hour when the storm crosses the coast. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in many parts of Gujarat on 15.06.2023. The sea will be rough till evening in Saurashtra and Kutch coasts.

Biporjoy will be the longest lasting storm to form in the Arabian Sea. It was formed on June 6. Even after hitting the coast it will exist for few more days. Considering the severity of the storm, Section 144 has been enforced in nearby areas. Temples, offices and schools were closed. High alert declared in coastal areas.
