
NOB- Telangana news: The buzz of MLC elections has begun in Telangana. The Central Election Commission has already released the schedule for three MLC seats in Telangana and three MLC seats in AP. In this context, the MLC election notification was released on 03.02.2025. As part of this, the nomination process will start from 03.02.2025. The 10th of February 2025 has been set as the final deadline for receiving nominations. Returning Officers will receive nominations from 10 am to 3 pm. After that, the nominations will be examined on the 11th of February 2025. There will be an opportunity to withdraw nominations on the 13th of February 2025. Polling will be held on the 27th of February 2025 and counting of votes will be held on March 3rd 2025. In Telangana, elections will be held for the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Teacher MLC seat, the same seat for the Graduate MLC seat, as well as the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teacher MLC seat. With this, the election code will be implemented in the respective districts. In a video conference with the collectors, State Chief Electoral Officer Sudarshan Reddy ordered that strong arrangements should be made for the MLC elections and the election code of conduct should be strictly implemented. He said that polling stations should be identified and ballot boxes should be prepared for the elections. He also suggested that returning officers should be identified for the polling and special training should be given to them. He also said that these nominations should be received in Karimnagar Collectorate for the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar MLC seats and in Nalgonda Collectorate for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda MLC seats. He said that polling will be held on the 27th of February 2025 from 8 am to 4 pm and that all necessary arrangements should be made and prepared for the peaceful conduct of the polling. He ordered that postal ballot facilities should be provided in remote areas where polling stations cannot be set up, and that certificates should be issued to the personnel conducting the elections and postal ballot facilities should be provided.
