NOB- Rangareddy news: Many people are exposing themselves on social media to become famous. They are creating content by showing their bodies for likes and views. They are creating obscene content without considering that children might see it and be negatively influenced. After increasing their likes and shares, they are earning money by promoting products. However, legal experts say that exposing oneself on social media, using double-meaning words, and speaking obscenities falls under cybercrime. They warn that creating or sharing obscene videos on Instagram or any other social media platform will lead to jail time. Recently, in Uttar Pradesh, social media influencers Mehak and Pari were arrested and sent to jail under Sections 296B of the BNS and IT Act for posting obscene videos. They warn that according to Section 67, if any person creates content that shows their body parts in a way that incites lust or corrupts others, they will face punishment. They warn that for the first offense of posting such content, there is a possibility of three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 5 lakhs. They are saying that if the same mistake is repeated a second time, there is a possibility of a five-year jail sentence and a fine of RS.10 lakhs being imposed.
