NOB_FLiRT covid variant enters India

NOB- Covid news: Corona epidemic is not leaving the world yet. For the past one year, when everyone was breathing comfortably without any mention of the Corona virus, a new variant of Covid has come to light. The increasing number of cases is frightening. The new Corona variant is described as FLiRT. Corona’s new variant FLiRT is now worrying not only the world but also India. The number of cases is increasing in UK, America, South Korea as well as in India. India has just crossed 250 cases. Meanwhile, 91 new cases of covid 19 omicron subvariant KP.2 have been reported in Maharashtra. New Covid variant cases were reported in the month of January 2024. There are 51 cases in Pune and 20 cases in Dhane. It seems that FLiRT is the new covid variant that has evolved from Omicron JN.1 and KP.2.

This new variant affects the upper respiratory tract when infected. Symptoms include fever, chills, sore throat, runny nose, headache, muscle aches, difficulty in breathing, fatigue, loss of taste and smell, stomach ache. Mild diarrhea symptoms and vomiting may also occur. In order to protect against this variant, the same precautions should be taken as in the case of Covid-19. Use of mask, boost immunity, take healthy food, stay away from crowded places. FLiRT is a covid variant belonging to the Omicron lineage. It has the ability to get immunity from vaccines and infections. According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, serious illness may not occur. Spreads very fast. Spreads rapidly through respiratory droplets.
