
NOB- Visakhapatnam news: Another historical event is set to be recorded in the history of Andhra Pradesh. With the efforts of Minister Nara Lokesh, a MoU has been signed to set up the country’s first Google AI Hub in Visakhapatnam. This project will create huge economic and job opportunities for the state. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu said that Google is setting up a hyperscale data center in Visakhapatnam with 10 billion US dollars (approximately Rs. 87,250 crores). He said that this will be the largest FDI project in India. It is estimated that the state will get an economic benefit of about Rs. 47,720 crores and 1.88 lakh job opportunities through this project. It was revealed that the state is likely to get an additional annual income of about Rs. 9,553 crores through Google cloud-based products. He said that by transforming Visakhapatnam into an AI city, AI skill development and technological opportunities will be provided to the youth of Andhra Pradesh. Minister Nara Lokesh said that this project was possible through discussions with the Google team during his visit to America. He said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s branding and Minister Lokesh’s efforts have together achieved a very important foreign investment for the state. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu clarified that this project is positioning the state as an international AI and tech hub so that the world’s attention is on Andhra Pradesh.
