Stalin also warned the Tamil people that Tamil Nadu is under threat and that the state will suffer serious political losses if it does not have more children. Stalin made these comments in the context of the central government redistributing Lok Sabha seats. The Narendra Modi government at the center is planning to redistribute Lok Sabha constituencies on the basis of population. CM Stalin said that the delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies being carried out by the central government will reduce the number of Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu, which will lead to Tamil Nadu losing its political importance. Southern states are already expressing concerns that if the central government redistributes Lok Sabha constituencies based on population, the number of Lok Sabha seats in the northern states, especially those ruled by the BJP, will increase, while the number of Lok Sabha seats in states where non-BJP and regional parties are strong may decrease. In this context, Stalin’s call has become a topic of discussion.
