Home guards appeal to Andhra Pradesh CM

NOB_ Home guards appeal to Andhra Pradesh CM

NOB-Amaravati news: The situation of the Andhra Pradesh native home guards working in Telangana has become pathetic. Far from their own state facing discrimination everywhere their anguish has turned into a wild cry as the rulers have not paid attention to their problem. They were selected as home guards in the united AP state and joined the performance of duty in various parts of Telangana. Subsequently, after the state was bifurcated, the government took up the division of assets debts and other issues along with the division of employees. However, even today, even after 11 years, about 300 home guards are still waiting for the AP government’s permission to come to their own state from Telangana. They have met the Chief Ministers and state leaders many times in the past and expressed their grievances. However, there are no records of the rulers paying attention to solving their problem. Reservation also hinders the efforts of the home guards here to get promoted in the police department due to the locality issue. The Telangana government is not giving them the 20 marks they deserve according to the quota because they are not locals. This is why they are missing out on that opportunity. The home guards are complaining that if they were working in AP, this reservation would have been applied to them and they would have had a chance to get promoted. The families of the respective home guards in AP have been waiting for the arrival of their relatives for the last 11 years. Believing that the governments will do them justice, they have been waiting for good news since then. But the AP government has not taken any action on their request. It seems that their arrival in AP will put an additional burden on the government. In fact, the salaries of home guards in Telangana are higher than in AP. In AP, home guards are paid Rs. 21,000, while in Telangana, they are paid more than Rs. 30,000. However, they are desperate to live with their elderly parents and family members. They have already made many requests to both governments. On the other hand, they are all confident that the government will take a decision on their problem. Home guard Narayana Reddy, who is working in Telangana, expressed hope that he will receive a positive order from the government on this issue. He has been writing letters to the governments on this issue for some time now.
