NOB-Hanamkonda news: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have caught another big fish in the fight against corruption. The ACB registered cases against Hanamkonda district Additional Collector (Revenue) and in-charge DEO (District Education Officer) Aramada Venkat Reddy on 21.01.2026, following allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, and conducted simultaneous raids.

Details of assets uncovered in the ACB raids:

ACB officials conducted searches at a total of eight locations, including Venkat Reddy’s residence and properties belonging to his relatives. During these searches, officials identified movable and immovable assets worth approximately Rs. 7,69,38,332. These include:

Immovable assets: Two residential houses (one villa and one flat), one commercial shop, 8 open plots, and 14.25 acres of agricultural land. The government value of these properties is approximately Rs. 6.40 crore.

Movable assets: Rs. 30 lakh in cash, bank deposits of Rs. 44 lakh, household articles worth Rs. 11 lakh, three cars (worth Rs. 40 lakh), and 297 grams of gold ornaments were seized by the officials. While the value of the assets identified by the officials is Rs. 7.69 crore according to registration and government records, the ACB estimates that their value in the open market would be many times higher. Having confirmed that these assets were acquired through corruption and illegal means, the authorities have already placed Venkat Reddy under suspension.
