
NOB-Suryapet news: As part of implementing the new initiative, Nadigudem police registered the first case in the district by going to the victim’s home, receiving the complaint, and registering the FIR there, said SP Narasimha IPS. A physically challenged woman, Bhuma Ramadevi, from Tellabelli village in Nadigudem mandal, called Dial 100 complaining that her husband was harassing and beating her. Upon receiving the information, Nadigudem SI Ajay Kumar, along with his staff, went to the victim’s house, received the complaint, registered the case on the spot, and handed over a copy of the FIR to the victim, the SP stated. The SP said that the ‘FIR at the Doorstep’ program will provide reassurance to victims in cases of attacks on women, children, and the elderly, as well as in cases of theft, physical assaults, child marriages, and harassment, by registering the case at their homes. The SP congratulated the Nadigudem police for registering the first case under this initiative.
