IT raids on BRS MLAs

NOB- HYDERABAD NEWS: The Hyderabad investigation unit of the income tax department on 14.06.2023 conducted searches on two Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs — Marri Janardhan Reddy of Nagarkurnool and Pailla Shekar Reddy of Bhongir.
Searches were conducted at 60 locations on the residences and premises of the companies linked to the two MLAs.
BRS Marri Janardhan Reddy owns JC Brothers a retail textile showroom and JC Brothers Holdings Limited also owns infra projects. According to his affidavit filed with the Election Commission of India, Marri Janardhan Reddy claimed that he owns shares in JC Brothers Retail Private, JC Brother projects, JC Spinning Mills and JC Brothers Holdings.
His family members Marri Shasidhar Reddy and Marri Madhumathi are the current directors of J Brothers Holdings.
The income Tax department has also conducted searches on the residences of BRS MLA from Bhongir Pailla Shekar Reddy.
Vaishnai group allegedly linked to him has also been searched. Income tax also conducted searches on Hilland Technologies Private Limited at Kottapet.
Income tax sleuths are looking into the suspected tax evasion in the retail showrooms and infra projects of JC Brothers.
Pailla Shekar Reddy was previously associated with Theertha Projects Private Limited, Sri Lorven Syndicate Private Limited.

Income tax investigators are suspecting tax evasion in real estate projects owned by Pailla Shekar Reddy.
