News Of Bharath : Telangana Minister Surekha expressed shock over the stampede incident that took place at the Mahakumbha Mela in Prayagraj on the occasion of “”Mauni Amavasya””. Minister Surekha expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and injuries to several devotees in this accident. Minister Surekha recalled the incident of hundreds of devotees dying in a stampede that took place on the day of Mauni Amavasya at the Kumbha Mela held in Prayagraj 70 years ago. Minister Surekha termed this accident as an unfortunate incident.

Minister Surekha urged the Uttar Pradesh government as well as the central government to take appropriate precautions in view of the situation in which a large number of devotees will come to the Mahakumbha Mela due to important days like “”Vasanta Panchami, Achala Navami, Mahashivratri”” in the coming days. Minister Surekha expressed her deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. She wished the injured pilgrims a speedy recovery.
