The Rythu Kuli Sangam built an 80-foot stupa in Indravelli as a memorial for the tribals.In March 1986, when unidentified people blew up the stupa with dynamite, the government built the stupa for the second time in 1987 with ITDA funds due to tribal agitation. With the Congress party now in power in the state, CM Revanth Reddy and District In-charge Minister Seethakka responded.According to the records of the police department, house plots were recently sanctioned to the families of 15 martyrs near Mutnur in the mandal. Along with the title deeds, funds of Rs. 1 lakh each were sanctioned. Rs. 5 lakh was allocated for the construction of Indiramma houses. Rs. 97 lakh was allocated for converting the martyrs’ stupa into a memorial park.The then government aimed a gun and rained bullets on the tribal children who were agitating for their rights. When the police said that the meeting was not permitted, Section 144 was imposed in the area. Not knowing this, the tribals flocked to the meeting in large numbers. The then police tried their best to prevent the meeting.Roads were blocked to block vehicles. In this order, an argument broke out between the two groups. However, a jawan misbehaved with a young tribal girl.The young woman attacked him with a machete, accusing him of touching her without any reason. That’s when the jawan fell down. Meanwhile, the police resorted to guns as the situation got out of hand. Indravelli trembled with the sound of guns.The green trees turned red. The blood of the Gonds spilled on the ground. Hundreds of tribals ran along the streams, screaming loudly. Indravelli was filled with blood with this single incident.This incident created a sensation in the country. Along with the tribals, the police also lost their lives. The determination to move together to drive out the darkness hidden in the people of the forest led to a great movement. It took the lives of people.In Indravelli, a policeman’s indecent behavior with an Adivasi woman led to violence.
