NOB- Bharath news: Prime Minister Modi will visit Ukraine, which has become a battlefield, on 23rd of August 2024. This is the first time that the Prime Minister of India is going to visit the country after the war between Ukraine and Russia. This tour has another priority. Bilateral relations between India and Ukraine started 30 years ago, Modi is also the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country. Earlier, he will visit Poland on 21st and 22nd  of August 2024. This trip also gained another advantage. After 45 years, the Indian Prime Minister is going to visit Poland. Prime Minister Modi will travel by train from Poland to the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. External Affairs Secretary (West) Tanmaya Lal said that the Prime Minister is going on a visit to the country on the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He said that the two leaders had held talks recently and this visit is being done as a continuation of that. He said that India’s policy is to end the Russia-Ukraine war through negotiations. President of Ukraine also issued a statement that Prime Minister Modi will come on an official visit. It was explained that besides discussions on bilateral issues and multilateral cooperation, many agreements will also be signed.
