New cluster division and grade allocation committee formed in villages

NOB_ New cluster division and grade allocation

NOB-Amaravati news: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has instructed the Panchayat Raj department officials to ensure that the rural people receive continuous panchayat services and to overcome the problem of staff shortage for this. He said that changes should be made in the cluster system of village panchayats under the Panchayat Raj department and new guidelines should be formulated. Previously, cluster grades were divided based on the income of the panchayats. He advised the officials to also add population and divide the cluster grades of the panchayats in the new way. In cases where the population is low in panchayats with high income and the population is high in panchayats with low income, the officials were advised to divide the cluster grades according to the circumstances without any difficulties. He said that the staff of the Gram Panchayat and Secretariat should be coordinated and staff should be appointed under the new cluster grade division system. In addition to the creation of infrastructure, implementation of welfare schemes, and management of government programs, there should be enough staff for the basic responsibilities of gram panchayats, such as drinking water supply, maintenance of street lights, construction of internal roads, and improvement of sanitation. The Deputy CM said that a committee should be formed to study these and facilitate administration in the panchayats. This committee will make recommendations to the government on the division of new clusters and allocation of grades. The committee will be formed with four high ranking officials from the Panchayat Raj Department. The committee will examine the reports given by the district collectors on the basis of the income and population of the panchayats in all the districts of the state on a district unit basis. After examining these, the committee will report its recommendations regarding the division of cluster grades of panchayats to the government. Following this, guidelines will be formulated for distributing panchayat and secretariat staff according to grades.
