
NOB- New Delhi news: The Union Cabinet took a sensational decision on 25.11.2024. The cabinet approved a key decision regarding the PAN card. The Union Cabinet has approved PAN 2.0. This will be upgraded to PAN card with QR code free of cost, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced. According to an official statement. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the PAN 2.0 project of the Income Tax Department. This ambitious project is being built at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,435 crore. The PAN 2.0 project is an e-governance project to re-engineer the business processes of taxpayer registration services through technological transformation of PAN/TAN services for a better digital experience for taxpayers.
