NOB- Suryapet news: On 02.07.2025, a 60-year-old man named Nimmaraboya Venkanna, a resident of Nagayyagudem village in Mothe mandal, was found lying on the side of the road leading to Mamillagudem on the outskirts of Vibhulapuram village with serious injuries and blood. On information, Mothe police reached the spot and shifted him to a government hospital. He died on the same day while undergoing treatment. On the complaint of the deceased Venkanna’s daughter Swaroopa, Mothe police registered a case of murder and investigated. As part of this investigation, on 04.07.2025, on reliable information, at 10 am, Mothe SI Yadavendar Reddy along with his staff arrested the accused Nimmaraboya Gangaiah, who had committed the murder, on the Mamillagudem X-road. There has been a dispute between the father and his sons for the past few months regarding the 4.29 acres of land owned by the deceased on the outskirts of Nagayyagudem village. Five months ago, in accordance with a resolution, the elders of the village had a meeting and an agreement was also written, allocating 1 acre of land to mother and father, 1 ½ acres of land each to the sons, and 29 acres of agricultural land to daughter. This land was not registered. Later, the deceased Venkanna sold the 1 acre of land that came to his share because he had debts. Due to these matters, son was angry with his father and wanted to kill him somehow. Therefore, whenever he found him alone, the accused would roam around with an axe on his bike. On 02.07.2025 in the afternoon, the accused went to Mothe on his bike and returned to house after filling petrol at a petrol bunk on the outskirts of Mothe village. At the same time, the deceased was seen going to Nagayyagudem from Suryapet on his TVS Moped No. TS 29-F-4747. The accused, wearing a helmet, attacked the moped with an axe he had brought with him on the outskirts of Vibhalapuram village. The accused fled from there. He will be arrested on 04.07.2025 and remanded. DSP Sridhar Reddy, Munagala CI Ramakrishna Reddy, Mothe SI Yadavendar Reddy and other staff were present in this meeting.
