NOB-Telangana news: Road safety in Telangana is a matter of serious concern. On average, 74 accidents occur daily across the state, resulting in approximately 20 deaths. These statistics reflect the alarming situation prevailing in the state. Driver negligence and violation of rules appear to be the main reasons for these accidents. In 2024 year, an average of 52,000 traffic violations were recorded daily, and in 2025 year that number has increased to 72,000, indicating the severity of the situation. In light of these alarming statistics, the Telangana Police Department has initiated stringent measures. Believing that change is not possible with fines alone, they have decided to tighten the rules. As part of this, they have launched a massive awareness program across the state called ‘Arrive Alive’. This program addresses issues such as speeding, signal jumping, and drunk driving.
