NOB-Nagarkurnool news:  Tense conditions have arisen in Mailaram, Balamoor mandal, Nagarkurnool district. Villagers staged a protest on 21.01.2025 morning demanding a halt to mining. The villagers are alleging that illegal mining has been going on in the village. The police detained several villagers overnight. As a result, the villagers erected barbed wire fences to prevent the police from entering the village.They demanded the immediate release of those arrested. Civil rights leaders have expressed their support for them. The controversy regarding mining has been going on for some time.The villagers called for a rally under the All-Party party to completely stop mining. The situation became more tensed as the police, alerted by this and arrested some villagers overnight.In this sequence, a scuffle took place between the police and the villagers. All the party leaders and civil rights leaders supported the villagers. While efforts were being made to start excavations in the Mylaram hill, the villagers were obstructing them from time to time.This time, however, the situation was different. This time, like never before, someone from every house came and participated in the agitation against mining.
