It is not any overnight and one person decision. This Agneepath scheme have been under thorough discussion with proper committees since 1989. The recruitment for 2022 phase was a planned path from two years with proper panel for the intake of youth of India for serving the country through defence. It was concentrated on youth who completed 10^th class and are of 17 and half years and specially village youth. The main aim of Agneepath recruitment is to compensate young blood (Josh) and experienced blood (Hosh) in defence making the country strong in defence. After four years if the Agneevir wants to continue in the path they can or else they are benefitted with the following

1. They will be given a plus two Government of India recognized certificate after completion of 4 years of Agneevir.
2. Banks will provide a loan of 12 lakhs for Agneevir certificate.
3. IT, Software and other commercial sectors are ready to offer them jobs as Agneevir certificate itself means disciplined youth which is necessary in all sectors.
4. Pursuing for higher education can also be done by these Agneevirs with their certificate.
5. All benefits for normal soldier will be active for Agneevir also.
6. The age limit was extended to 23 from 21 keeping in mind the Covid situation.

The applications for Agneevir will be available online from 24^th June 2022 and all the eligibility criteria can be found in the respective website. Online exam will be conducted on 25^th July 2022.

1. First phase will be commenced of Agneevir Army from 30^th December 2022
2. First phase will be commenced  of Agneevir Air force from 30^th December 2022
3. First phase will be commenced of Agneevir Navy from 21^st November 2022.

This time Indian Navy is gender neutral and taking women also.

Finally the motto is to give disciplined youth to the country in any sector they are serving.
