
NOB- Suryapet news: District SP Sunpreet Singh IPS revealed the details of the case in a media conference organized at the district police office. Accused would pry into villages and farms and spot and steal tractor trucks parked by farmers on roadsides. The SP said that we found that the stolen trolleys were being sold to other farmers at a low price. On the evening of 13.09.2024, SI Maddirala with his staff was conducting vehicle checks at Maddirala cross road when two persons on a pulsar bike with number TS 05 FS 5840 and two persons on a Swaraj tractor engine were coming suspiciously from Kuntapalli side. 4 people along with his staff were detained and interrogated. Accused 4 Sampangi Mahesh, Sampangi Satyam, Orsu Venkanna and Alakuntla Mahesh from Nalgonda district have admitted of stealing 2 tractor trolleys which were kept under shades in the fields on the way from Polumalla village to Chilpakuntla village in the month of October 2023. On this, Ellu Jagan and Rama Reddy of Polumalla village filed a complaint at Maddirala PS. On the complaint of the victims, a case was registered under Section 379 IPC under Crime Number 206/2023 at Maddirala PS. Suspects have confessed to the crimes, four accused in the case of theft of trolleys are being investigated.
As part of the investigation, the accused admitted that there were 18 tractor-trolley theft cases in Munagala, Penpazd, Miryalaguda Rural, Nagaram, Maddirala, Gurrampodu, Nutanakal, Mote, Garidepalli, Saligauraram, Suryapeta Rural and Kethepalli police stations. Among the detected cases, 19 tractor trolleys, one engine and one bike were seized and taken to remand. A total of 19 trolleys worth 20 lakhs 92 thousand, one Swaraj tractor engine worth 2 lakhs and one Pulsar bike were recovered from the house of Marepalli village, Nalgonda district Halia mandal. 11 thefts were committed in Suryapet district and 7 thefts were committed in Nalgonda district. Apart from these 18 cases on accused A1-Sampangi Mahesh, A2-Sampangi Satyam and A3-Orsu Venkanna have criminal record in 12 cases in the past. A1 Mahesh and A3 Venkanna were sent to Jail by Rachakonda Commissionerate Adibhatla Police Station in tractor trolley case.
