NOB-Suryapet news: District SP Narasimha IPS said that regular vehicle inspections are being conducted across Suryapet district and the goal is to prevent road safety accidents. Under the district police, they are conducting regular vehicle inspections and warning and creating awareness about the precautions to be taken during travel and the road safety rules and regulations. He said that cases are being registered against vehicles transporting people, labourers and children in goods vehicles, and against vehicles transporting passengers in excess of the limit. In the last week, 70 vehicles have been identified in the district for transporting labourers and people in goods vehicles beyond the limit and fine, cases have been imposed. He said that if such cases are registered many times, the vehicles are seized. He also said that people should travel keeping their lives in mind by creating awareness about road accidents. According to the Transport Act, goods vehicles should be used only for the transport of goods and it is a crime to transport people, labourers and children in them. He said that there is a high chance of serious accidents and road accidents due to travelling in goods vehicles. He also urged motorists and people not to travel in situations where their lives are at risk. He said that everyone should respect the transport rules and travel in vehicles within the limits for safe transport.
