NOB- Suryapet news: On 16.09.2025, the Suryapet District Court found Naveen, a 28-year-old resident of Ramapuram village in Nereducherla mandal, guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 25,000 was imposed by the Suryapet District Court, Special Sessions POCSO Cases Trial Court Judge Lakshmi Sarada. It was also stated that the victim should be paid a compensation of 2 lakhs. Going into the details, the mother of victim from Ramapuram center of Nereducherla mandal filed a complaint at the Nareducherla police station on 14/10/2018 that her 8-year-old daughter had been raped. On the complaint, a case was registered at the Nareducherla police station under the POCSO Act and an investigation was conducted. Parike Naveen from the same village was named as the accused and appeared in court and criminal charge sheets were filed against the suspect. The trial court examined 15 witnesses and found accused guilty and gave the following verdict. Additional PP K Lingaiah argued for the prosecution. Licensor Officer Srikanth and Court PC Nageswara Rao were the assistants. SP Narasimha IPS congratulated the staff members Kodada DSP Sridhar Reddy, Hujurnagar CI Charamanda Raju, SI Ravinder for their excellent work, and Bharosa Center staff member Jyoti for coordinating the case from time to time.
