
NOB-Jangaon news: Cyber criminals who are cheating not only the general public but also the educated and employed people are now not leaving out public representatives. Recently, BRS leader and Jangaon MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy also fell into the trap of cyber criminals and lost money. A cyber crook who swindled MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy in the name of a central government scheme swindled Rs. 1 lakh. The matter came to light when MLA Palla, who realized that it was a cyber fraud, filed a complaint with the police. MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy received a call from a person on 05.04.2026 morning. He introduced himself to the MLA as an additional secretary in the Telangana Finance Department. His name was Anantharami Reddy. He told him that eligible people would get loans of up to Rs. 10 lakh under the Vikasith Bharat scheme implemented by the Central Government. He said that if a list of 40 eligible people in the Jangaon constituency was sent, they would be immediately granted loans. However, MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, who believed it to be true, listened to what he said. In this order, he told him that the last date to apply for this scheme was. The cyber criminal suggested that a total of 40 people should pay Rs. 2,500 per beneficiary and Rs. 1 lakh as processing fee. However, MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, who thought that the people of his constituency would benefit under the Central Government scheme, sent Rs. 1 lakh to the number asked by the person through PhonePe. After some time, the money was not received and the man asked to send it again, which made MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy suspicious. After this, he inquired whether he was a genuine government employee and the real matter came to light. Realizing that the man was a cyber fraudster, MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy immediately filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Jubilee Hills police. The police registered a case under various sections and started an investigation to catch the cyber fraudster.
