NOB- Hyderabad news: On 16.02.2025 at 20.15 hrs received a complaint from Smt. Bandela Devi, W/o. Late B. Dayadhinam, aged 25 yrs, Occ: Labour, R/o. Badvel (v), Mylavaram (M), Cuyddapah District, Andhra Pradesh State in which she stated that (5) days back, she along with her son Prem Kumar, aged 2 years came to Hyderabad for seeking livelihood by meeting her cousin sister Kumari, but she lost her cell phone to contact. As such, she started staying on footpaths at CBS, Gowliguda, Hyderabad. On 15.02.2025 at about 11:00 hrs, she was fell in deep sleep under intoxication and when she woke up at 14:00 hrs, she noticed her son is kidnapped. The Afzalgunj police registered a case Crime No.57/2025, U/s.137 (2) BNS, Sec.84 of J.J. Act of P.S Afzalgunj, Hyderabad under kidnapping and started verifying the CCTV footage at SOC, wherein it is come to know that one middle aged person kidnapped the baby boy and proceeded in passenger Auto. On that, formed (3) special teams for gathering clues of Auto number through (100) CCTV footage for identification of offenders for a period (36) hours, Auto number was identified as TS.10.UC.7279. Afzalgunj police reached the spot and rescued the kidnapped boy on 18.02.2025 at 16:00 hrs in the residence of A.2 in the possession of accused persons. The A.1, A.3 & A.4 were also apprehended. On which they admitted their guilt and confessed that on 15.02.2025 at about 14:00 hrs, while A.1 to A4 were passing from CBS in passenger Auto belongs to A.2, meantime they noticed baby boy weeping besides his mother. They noticed his mother is in intoxication condition and they hatched and executed a plan to kidnap the boy for selling to needy couple or for begging purpose. Immediately they took him to A.2’s residence in the said Auto. The case is under investigation with N. Jagadeesh, S.I under the supervision of M. Madhu Kumar, Det. Inspector of P.S Afzalgunj, N. Ravi, SHO of PS Afzalgunj and K. Shankar, ACP Sultan Bazar Division, Hyderabad, under the close supervision of J. Narsaiah, Addl. DCP, East Zone Officer and Dr. B. Bala Swamy, I.P.S., DCP, East Zone Officer, Hyd. The superior officer appreciated the hard work done by Police Afzalgunj, Hyderabad.
The prime offender Shaik Amer @ Thara kidnaps the boy for the purpose of sale / begging from the possession of parents who were under alcoholic condition and sale to needy couples with the assistance of other (3) accused including (2) women.
