NOB-Khammam news: Barmavat Muthi Kumar of VM Banjara village in Penuballi mandal of Khammam district has set a goal of climbing the seven highest mountains in the world. In this process, he has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (56.42 meters above sea level) in South Africa, where the weather is still minus 40 degrees. In this process, he has received permission to climb the world’s highest mountain Mount Everest (88.44.86) meters. If he achieves his goal, Moti Kumar will become the sixth person from Telangana to climb Everest and will set a record as the first youth from Khammam district. Going into more details, Moti Kumar, the son of street vendors Barmavat Raja Alivel from VM Banjara village, was born in a poor family. He was passionate about sports since childhood and won many prizes in various sports. As a child, he used to go with his grandfather to herd cattle and climb big rocks. One day, he was inspired by people who had climbed mountains in a book. He decided to do mountaineering. He immediately contacted Raku Coaching School in Bhubaneswar. After undergoing 15 days of training there, Moti Kumar’s skills were good and he got permission to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in South Africa on April 5, 2022. Later, he underwent rigorous training for months at the Birong National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports Training Center in Arunachal Pradesh under the supervision of Army officials and climbed Mount Elbrus in Russia on November 11, 2023. Kilimanjaro It took 20 days and to climb the Elbrolu mountains ten days each. After demonstrating his talent in climbing these two mountains, he was allowed to climb Mount Everest, which takes 52 days. Climbing Mount Everest costs around 44 lakhs, of which Rs. 7 lakhs are for the dress used while climbing, Rs. 15 lakhs for the special food consumed while climbing, Rs. 1.35 lakhs for the Lucuzun cylinder, Rs. 4.25 lakhs for personal clothing, Rs. 97,800 for the guide, and Rs 2.12 lakhs for the GST, which adds up to a total cost of Rs. 44 lakhs. The huge cost of climbing the world’s highest mountain has made Moti Kumar, who belongs to a poor family, financially unable to support himself. He complained that he did not have the financial means to climb the Everest peak and bring glory to the country and state. In this regard, District 320 E- Governor Yarala Prabhakar Reddy, with the support of donors, provided Rs. 33,000, District Fast District Governor Dr. Kapa Muralikrishna with a traveling bag and Rs. 10,000. Moti Kumar said that the Lions Club of Vaira provided Rs. 23 thousand through donors. In the past, during the climb, the District Lions Club provided Rs. 1 lakh and 2.50 lakh was provided through KTPS. Moti Kumar said that the people who have supported me so far are Multiple Council Chairman Teegala Mohan Rao, Region District Cabinet Secretary Shivshankar Simhadri, District Cabinet Joint Secretary Lagadapati Prabhakar Rao, DGE Madanmohan Repala, SC V DGE Satish Kumar Kode, Thirunagari Sharada, Nalagonda Sneha.
