NOB- Khammam news: Special selection camps to be held from February 10^th to 14^th 2025 to provide assistive devices to the disabled in the 5 assembly constituencies of Khammam district, District Collector Muzammil Khan said in a statement on 06.02.2025. He said that special selection camps are being held on February 10^th 2025 at the Rotary Club on Khammam NSP Camp Road, on February 11^th 2025 at the Government Girls’ High School in Sathupalli, on February 12^th 2025 at the Madhira Rythu Vedika, on February 13^th 2025 at the Vaira Rythu Vedika, and on February 14^th 2025 at the Kusumanchi Rythu Vedika, Guruvaygudem Road, Paleru Assembly Constituency. He said that the special selection camps will be held from 10 am to 3 pm. He said that selection camps have been set up with the help of experts from Alinco to provide hand sticks, walkers, hearing aids for the elderly, as well as tricycles and caliper artificial limbs for the physically disabled, which are required by the physically disabled, to the eligible ones. To get a battery operator tricycle, those above 16 years of age and with 80 percent disability should have an annual income of Rs. 1.80 lakh for the elderly and Rs. 2.70 lakh for the physically disabled. When coming to the camp, they should bring Aadhaar card, age certificate, passport size photo, BPL ration card, and disability certificate. Only the physically disabled with disabilities should attend, and the physically disabled who are not eligible should not come to the camp and cause trouble. The District Collector said in the statement.
