NOB_Kamareddy: Congress party staged a massive protest in Kamareddy on Monday over alleged irregularities in voter list revision and protection of democratic values.

As per TPCC call, District Congress President Yele Mallikarjun led hundreds of party leaders and workers wearing black shirts in a rally to the Collectorate. They raised slogans against the SIR process and Election Commission and burnt the effigy of CEC Gyanesh Kumar.

Later they submitted a memorandum to the District Collector demanding transparency in electoral rolls and protection of every eligible voter’s right to vote.

Jukkal MLA Thota Lakshmikantha Rao, Library Chairman Maddi Chandrakanth Reddy, leaders Ippa Srinivas, Mohammed Ilyas, Town President Aireni Sandeep Kumar, Mandal President Rajagoud, Society Chairman Guddem Srinivas Reddy and others participated.
