As a part of the National panchayat award ceremony, Sarpanch Katakam Sridhar of Gambhiraopet Gram Panchayat of Gambhiraopet Mandal Rajannasircilla district and Panchayat Secretary Majeed received the award from Central Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh.

The National Panchayat Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on 17.04.2023 was presided over by the President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu. As part of this, in the category of Gram Panchayats with self-sufficient infrastructure, Gambhiraupeta Gram Panchayat of Rajannasircilla district stood third in the country and bagged the award.

Along with shield and certificate of appreciation Rs. 50 lakh cash in the presence of State Panchayat Raj Ministers Errabelli Dayakara Rao was given by Union Minister to Gambhiraopet Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Katakam Sridhar and Panchayat Secretary Majeed.

Additional Collector of Local Bodies Sathyaprasad and Zilla Panchayat Officer Ravinder participated in the awards ceremony.
