NOB-Srinagar news: A nationwide alert was sounded after a huge explosion at Delhi’s Red Fort. But the explosives seized in Faridabad unexpectedly exploded at Naugam Police Station in Kashmir on 14.11.2025 night. A huge explosion at Srinagar Police Station killed policemen and forensic experts. 9 police officers were killed and 27 others were injured. Going into details, recently, the police recovered a huge amount of explosives from a terrorist gang. While they were being examined with the help of a forensic team, they suddenly exploded. This shook the police station premises. In this accident, the police, forensic officers, and two revenue officers including the Naib Tahsildar who were present there died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the nearby Army Hospital and Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Schemes. The condition of five of them is critical and the death toll is likely to rise. Senior officers reached the Naugam police station immediately after the incident and took control of the area. This Naugam police station had recently cracked the case of posters belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization. During this investigation, a “white-collar terrorist network” run by highly educated people like doctors was uncovered. A large amount of explosives were seized from this gang. The investigation revealed that this gang was also responsible for the recent car bomb blast in Delhi that killed 13 people. It is deeply tragic that the explosives seized earlier have now become a death trap for these officers.
