NOB_Kamareddy: District Superintendent of Police Sri M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS, held a monthly crime review and Ganesh Navratri security review through video conference with all officers of the district on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Kamareddy DSP S. Madhusudhan, Ellareddy DSP S. Srinivasa Rao, Banswada DSP P. Vithal Reddy, DCRB DSP Gattumallu, SB Inspector Madhusudhan, and all CIs and SIs.
During the review, the SP assessed station performance, pending cases, and investigation quality. He directed officers to ensure e-Sakshya compliance in every case and to file chargesheets within the stipulated time to ensure conviction.
Issuing specific instructions for Ganesh festivities, the SP ordered:
- 24×7 Vigil at Mandaps: All police officers must visit every Ganesh mandap in their jurisdiction daily. Continuous patrolling and round-the-clock alertness should be maintained to prevent untoward incidents. Close coordination with festival committees was stressed.
- Advance Plan for Immersions: With immersions starting from tomorrow in some areas, SHOs were directed to identify immersion points in advance and prepare route maps, bandobast, and traffic diversion plans to avoid traffic jams.
- Total Ban on DJs: The SP made it clear that as per Supreme Court guidelines, there is no permission for DJs under any circumstances during the festivities. Committees must be informed in advance.
He warned that violations will attract stringent legal action. He informed that
3 cases have already been booked in the district*for DJ violations and DJ equipment along with vehicles have been seized.
He appealed to committees to celebrate traditionally by encouraging Dappu artists.
- Strict Watch on Social Media: The SP appealed to the public not to believe or forward rumours and unverified videos from other places. He warned of strict legal action against those posting or spreading provocative content that disrupts communal harmony.
He said the District Control Room is monitoring social media 24/7 and requested the public to immediately inform police about any suspicious information instead of forwarding it.
