Delegation Led by Augustine Lee Meets CM Revanth Reddy

NOB_Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy invited Singapore companies to invest in Telangana, assuring all support from the state government.

A Singapore delegation led by Augustine Lee, Permanent Secretary of the Energy Market Division under Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, met the Chief Minister at the Assembly today.

During the meeting, the Singapore representatives expressed their readiness to set up a semiconductor industry in Telangana. Welcoming the proposal to set up manufacturing units in the state, the Chief Minister assured full support for their investments. The representatives responded positively to the investment proposals.

The CM briefed the delegation about major development projects undertaken by the state government and sought financial support from Singapore. He also invited them to the prestigious ‘Telangana Global Summit’ scheduled to be held at the Bharat Future City in December this year.

CM Revanth Reddy outlined the key features of the Musi River rejuvenation project and the development of the ‘Future City’. The ongoing works of the first phase of the Musi project, covering the stretch from the confluence of the Musi and Eesa rivers up to Gandhi Sarovar, and the promotion of a ‘night economy’ were discussed.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the development of ‘Bharat Future City’ as a net-zero city and the transformation of Hyderabad from a tourist destination into a Knowledge Hub. He revealed that Harvard, Oxford, MIT, and London School of Business have agreed to set up their offshore campuses in Hyderabad.

The meeting was attended by government advisor K. Ramakrishna Rao, Singapore’s Senior Director for South Asia Dr. Francis Chong, Consul-General William Chik and other representatives.
