NOB- Uppal news: On 17.08.2025, a mishap occurred during the Krishna Shobha Yatra in Gokule Nagar, Ramanthapur, Uppal PS. Five people died on the spot due to electric shock at the end of the Shobha Yatra. Four others were injured. They were shifted to the local Matrix Hospital. The incident occurred when the vehicle carrying the chariot stopped during the end of the Krishna Shobha Yatra as part of the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations, and the electric wires on the chariot touched the chariot while ten people were pushing it. The police who reached the spot. The police shifted the bodies of the five people from Matrix Hospital to Gandhi Mortuary. It is learnt that one of the injured is undergoing treatment at Matrix Hospital, while the other has been shifted to a private hospital in Nampally. Two others are reportedly receiving treatment locally.  The deceased have been identified as Krishna alias Diamond Yadav (21, Old Ramanthapur), Srikanth Reddy (35), Suresh Yadav (34, Old Ramanthapur), Rudra Vikas (39), Rajendra Reddy (45). The police are investigating the incident. Full details are awaited.
