NOB- Prakasam news: On the orders of Prakasam District SP, the police personnel responded swiftly to a heartbreaking incident that took place in Darshi Police Station Limits. The police immediately started rescue efforts to rescue a woman who jumped into the local Sagar Canal along with her child. As soon as the information was received, S.I. Murali reached the spot with the help of the locals and quickly launched a search operation. With the help of the public and the unimpeded response of the police, the mother and child were taken out of the canal and immediately shifted to the government hospital. After primary treatment, the child was shifted to Ongole RIMS for better treatment as her condition was critical. The woman is also being provided with necessary medical assistance. The Darshi police have registered a case and are continuing further investigation. The police appealed to the public to contact the police and counselling centers to overcome family problems and personal difficulties and not to resort to such extreme measures. The Prakasam district police said that they will further strengthen awareness programs in the society to stop such incidents.
