NOB-Hyderabad news: The Standing Committee has approved the issue of renaming the Telugu Thalli Flyover as Telangana Thalli Flyover. It was decided in a meeting held on 24.09.2025 to change the name of the bridge connecting Lower Tank Bund to Secretariat. The GHMC Standing Committee meeting has approved the recommendation to the corporation to name the flyover connecting Lower Tank Bund to Secretariat as Telangana Thalli Flyover. The Standing Committee meeting was held on 24.09.2025 under the chairmanship of City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi at the Command Control Room of the GHMC headquarters. The Standing Committee approved 14 agenda items and 10 table items in the committee meeting. ‘Construction of Storm Water Drain (RCC Box Drain) ,Sai Nagar Arch to T.I.F.R Compound Wall Culvert, Ward No.3, Krishna Reddy Nagar Road No.1, Road No.2, Capra Circle, Cherlapalli at an estimated cost of Rs.285.00 lakhs,  Administrative approval sought. Construction of CC Road, Alwal Circle Ward No.133, High Tension Line Route from V.B.R. Gardens to S.N. Reddy Enclave Approval to invite tenders for construction of CC Road at an estimated cost of Rs.450.00 lakhs for the financial year 2025-26. Capra Circle Ward No. 2 from Bhavani Nagar via Bavi Bazaar Nala to ETDC North Kamala Nagar Nala at a cost of Rs. 395.00 lakhs, Administration approved. To hand over the operation and maintenance responsibilities of Sports Zone under RK Puram Flyover in Malkajgiri Circle, Division 136 to an experienced agency, Approved. Submission for approval for fixing user charges for various sports activities at KPHB Multipurpose Sports Complex, Moosapet. Permission sought for recruitment of employees under outsourcing mode at Bandlaguda Multipurpose Sports Stadium. Proposal to open salary accounts of GHMC outsourcing/self-help groups workers in private banks, presented before the Standing Committee. Approval sought for the following items. It was decided to ensure that the benefits of personal accident insurance and term life insurance are provided. GHMC Commissioner R.V.
