NOB-Adilabad news: Adilabad One Town Police solved a suspicious death case that turned into a murder within 48 hours. The victim, Anita, was found dead in a drain near Punjab Chowk (Haldiram area) on April 24^th 2026. Based on a complaint by her brother Janagamwar Santosh, police formed special teams under Dist SP supervision. Using CCTV footage and technical evidence, the accused Narsinga Santoba Gampalwad (25), a labourer from Maharashtra, was identified and arrested near Adilabad Railway Station on April 27^th 2026. Investigation revealed the accused was under the influence of alcohol and attacked the victim in an isolated area. When she resisted, he killed her and disposed of the body in the drain. District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS appreciated the team for swift detection, rewarded the staff, and urged citizens to stay alert and install CCTV cameras for safety.
