NOB_ Mellacheruvu CMRF cheques case

NOB- Suryapet news: In the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund cheque scam case registered at Mellacheruvu Police Station under Kodad Sub-Division of Suryapet District, eight accused were involved in the scam by depositing the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund cheques received by the victims in the fake accounts of the victims and fraudulently withdrawing money. Our police personnel went to Palaram village in Anantagiri Mandal on 06.10.2025 on information and arrested 8 accused and sent them to remand. When a victim from Mellacheruvu Mandal Center was undergoing treatment for paralysis, he applied for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund through former Huzurnagar MLA Saidi Reddy, but the cash cheque was not received by him. Private individuals working in the MLA’s office, instead of reaching the beneficiary, fraudulently deposited the money in the account of another fake beneficiary and cheated. A thorough investigation was conducted into this and it was found that the accused had committed a crime, said Suryapet District SP Narasimha IPS. The SP said that if any victims have been cheated in this way, they can file a complaint with the Mellacheruvu SI. 7.30 lakhs in cash, 44 cheques that were not given to the beneficiaries, and 6 bank passbooks were seized from them. Private individuals working in the MLA camp office have committed this crime by changing the names of individuals for their own benefit and illegally drawing cheques in the names of other individuals without the knowledge of the former MLA of Huzurnagar constituency. Suryapet DSP Prasanna Kumar, who supervised the speedy cracking of this CMRF cheque case, Kodad Rural CI K. Pratap Lingam, Mellachervu SI P. Paramesh, Head Constable Jukuri Nageshwar Rao, Lingaraju, Constables Madasu Rama Rao, Dilip Kumar, Paloju Ramakrishnachari, Narasimha Rao, were felicitated by Suryapet District SP K. Narasimha IPS on this occasion. The SP presented rewards to the personnel who cracked these cases.

Out of the total 51 cheques, the total amount of 7 cheques used by the accused is Rs. 9,50,000/-. Out of which Rs. 2,25,000/- was given to the victim and the remaining Rs. 7,30,000/- was recovered from the accused. 44 other cheques were also recovered from the accused. The total value of these cheques is Rs. 34,58,400/-.

  3. Pulindi Onkar Age: 37 years, Occupation: Personal Assistant of Huzurnagar MLA Office, R/o NGOs Colony, Huzurnagar.
  4. Madasu Venkateswarlu, Age: 35 years, Occupation: Kuli, R/o Palaram Village, Anantagiri Mandal.
  5. Mattapalli Saidulu Age: 34 years, Occupation: Agriculture, R/o Palaram Village, Anantagiri Mandal.
  6. Gottemukkula Venkateswarlu, Age: 65 years, Occupation: Carpenter, R/o Kattakommugudem village, Chilukuru mandal.
  7. Bellamkonda Saidulu, Age 28 years, Caste Occupation: Student, R/o Palaram village, Ananthagiri mandal.
  8. Bellamkonda Padma, Age 45 years, Occupation: Coolie, R/o Palaram village, Ananthagiri mandal.
